Motorola was working on the Motorola Edge series and added a new smartphone named Motorola Edge 2022. It is a premium mid-range phone that offers great specifications at a good price. The key specifications of the smartphone are a 6.6-inch FHD+ 144 Hz display, Dimensity 1050 processor, 50 MP triple camera, 5,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging, etc. The smartphone has been launched in US and we remind you that Motorola Edge 2022 is the World’s first smartphone that offers Dimensity 1050 processor. Motorola Edge 2022 Design

As we can see in the above image, the Motorola Edge 2022 comes with a simple design. On the rear side, there is a triple-camera setup with an LED flashlight. The cameras are set in a module. On the center of the rear panel, there is the brand’s logo.

Coming to the front side, there is a quite big display with a punch-hole notch attached to the front camera. There is a bezel-less display with a tiny chin. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor. The power button and the volume rocker are set on the right side of this smartphone.

The dimension of the Motorola Edge 2022 is (160.8 x 74.2 x 7.2) mm (H x W x T) and the weight of the phone is 170 Grams. The smartphone is available in Mineral Gray color.

Motorola Edge 2022 comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Additionally, it has a 144 Hz fast refresh rate with HDR 10+ support. The Motorola Edge 2022 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC with octa-core processor. The processor has paired with 8GB RAM & 256GB inbuilt storage. Additionally, the smartphone runs on Android 12 based on My UX out of the box. Motorola has promised to provide 3 Years of OS updates and 4 Years of security updates.

Camera and Battery

Motorola Edge 2022 comes with a triple camera setup including a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 13 MP Ultra-Wide camera with Macro sensor, and a 2 MP Depth sensor. There is a 32 MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls. Moreover, there is a 5,000 mAh big battery with 30W fast charging support with 15W wireless charging.

Connectivity and Security

Talking about connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C charging. For biometric security, the Motorola Edge 2022 has an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is stereo speaker for multimedia.

Motorola Edge 2022 Price

The Motorola Edge 2022 start at a price of $498 (Approx Rs 40,000). There is only one color option available – Mineral Grey. The sale will start next week via T-Mobile. It is expected to launch the smartphone in India soon.
